Milky Way Miner, an established web2 game, has been revamped through a Galactic Hubs grant to integrate Alien Worlds NFTs and introduce new community competition mechanics!

Gameplay At a Glance
Milky Way Miner’s gameplay centers around efficient ore mining, unlocking new mining levels, and planetary exploration. Progress involves selling ore for cash to upgrade mining operations. Key upgrades include:

• Miners: Improve speed and efficiency. Also more miners per mine!
• Elevators: Increase ore capacity and speed.
• Rocket Launcher: Boost ore storage and dispatch rate.
• Bosses: Utilize bosses to maximize miner productivity.

Weekly Tournaments
The weekly tournament challenges players to stake the designated NFT of the week to participate, offering a gameplay powerup. All staked NFTs are returned post-competition.

Tournament Timeline:

• Starts: Each Saturday at midnight (GMT).
• Entry Deadline: Following Monday.
• Competition Period: Monday midnight to Saturday morning.
• Tournament Over: Saturday at midnight!

How to Get Involved

Participation is straightforward — tap on the Tournament icon at the bottom right during the entry period (usually all day Sunday, GMT).

You can then stake the week’s specified NFT to enter the weekly tournament. This allows players to join the competition and aim for top leaderboard spots.

If you haven’t already connected your Cloud Wallet, you can do so in the game directly!

NOTE: After each tournament, the NFT you stake will be returned to your wallet. So tournament entry is absolutely free!

Playing & Winning

Starting Monday morning you can then play the tournament by tapping the Tournament button and trying to earn as much of the Alien coin as you can.

The winners appear in the leaderboard.

The top 10 players get a special bonus percentage of the pot as per the chart below. All other players in the top 50% of the leaderboard will share the remaining 45% of the pot. So assuming 1,000 TLM in the pot and 250 players:

All of the TLM that the sponsor put up for the prize will be awarded to the top players (minus a small 5% rake for running the tournament).

NFT Boots

In addition to staking an NFT, players will get a multiplier on idle income each time they return to the tournament based on the highest rarity of NFT in their wallet at the time.

• Abundant — no boost
• Common — no boost
• Rare — x1.5
• Epic — x2
• Mythical (Red) — x2.5

Sponsoring Your Own Tournament

The TLM prizes each week are sponsored permissionlessly. To be a sponsor, go to the Sponsor site and connect your Cloud Wallet. You can then add your own sponsorship text and logo / image, sending in your TLM amount you wish to sponsor and give out as a prize the winners.

Everyone who enters the tournament will see your text and image!

Whoever is #1 on the leaderboard at midnight of the tournament entry period will WIN the sponsorship.

You can add more TLM as well to make sure you top the leaderboard.
